Nostalgia Productions helps to celebrate peoples’ lives. Whether for families that have lost a loved one, helping individuals living with dementia, or celebrating a birthday, anniversary or wedding, there are many different ways to celebrate a life.

Living with Dementia

Individuals with dementia often experience others consistently doing things for them. When someone shares a part of their past and encounters genuine interest or enjoyment from another person, it becomes a valuable chance for them to feel like the giver rather than constantly being in the receiving or listening role. Discussing the past not only brings forth joyful memories and positive emotions, but can be especially beneficial when life feels challenging for the individual.

Looking at old photos and reminiscing about the past is a lot like a therapy called ‘photo reminiscence therapy’. This therapy can have some extremely positive effects, like helping to remember family stories and improving overall health.

Giving a loved one a gift of a video that highlights photos, and video clips, from throughout their lives could be the most wonderful gift that person will ever receive, especially at such a difficult time of life. It really could make a huge difference to that person’s life.
